Kaite Estaba is an NYC based
costume designer and performing artist, producing costume and character design
for festivals, clubs and other events under the alias Team
Kitty Koalition. She graduated from USC [Los Angeles] with a double BA in
Creative Writing and Fine Art, then continued to FIT [NYC] for her AAS in
Fashion Design. Despite her degrees, she is mostly self-taught in both
patternmaking and draping of stretch materials, and has found her niche in creative
patternmaking. Her design aesthetic is sexy with a dark, edgy twist, defying expected
ways to cover the female form. She designs for the fearless – those willing to
take risks for the thrill of fantasy.
